This post is a bit of a different one from usual but I wanted to include it because it’s part of this journey. Since moving to Madrid, outside of class time, I have been working everyday on my football pages on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok and as a result of this, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Spanish Super Cup tournament being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
It was surreal to watch Real Madrid play a football game outside of Europe and to see and meet so many Madrid fans in Saudi Arabia – it really opened my eyes to how global this football club is.
I also had the opportunity to film videos with Barcelona legend Kluivert and Real Madrid legend Guti which was a pinch me moment. My goal now is to keep working hard, to keep making a name for myself and to keep applying what I’m learning from my masters to my content creation so that I can further establish myself as a content creator, reporter and profile in this new football media space.
