I’ve missed my family. It’s been a long time since I last saw them and when I heard that they were planning a trip to Madrid, I honestly couldn’t wait. Firstly, because I missed them and I want to see them. Secondly, because I was so excited to show them my new “home” and show them all the shops I like, the restaurants I dine at and to show them why I see myself wanting to live here for the foreseeable future even after the Master’s ends.
When my mum, dad, brother and brother’s wife arrived, I quickly took them sightseeing to all the main attractions – Sol, the palace, La Casa de Abuelo and the Bernabeu, of course. As I was during my internship at the Bernabeu during this time, they really kindly sorted out 5x tickets for the Bernabeu tour which my whole family loved. It was so cool to show them the home stadium of Real Madrid – which is where I get to go on a weekly basis right now.
It was a great time with the family, a great reset as I took some time off from uni, work and content creation. But now that they have left, it’s time to lock back in!
