This one was special… I just went to watch Real Madrid vs Man City in the Champions League… yup, you read that right. Two giants of world football went head to head in the UCL, the biggest club competition in the world, and I was there to watch it live. I still can’t believe it.
The atmosphere before kick-off was the best I’ve seen all season at the Bernabeu. There was a massive tifo that the players walked out to at the start of the game and throughout the whole match, the Real Madrid fans were signing non-stop. It genuinely gave me goosebumps and made me realize why I love football so much – it has this superpower of bringing people from all different paths of life together for 90 minutes. It’s so magical and special.
Although Man City won 2-1, this experience was incredible. Almost an out-of-body experience I’d say because it felt like I was dreaming for the entire 90 minutes. If this wasn’t crazy enough, I then went to the press conference where I listened to PEP GUARDIOLA speak post-match. Yup, you heard that right too… Pep Guardiola. The manager I grew up loving and watching – the manager who changed this beautiful game. To be in his presence was another dream come true.
I will never forget this day man. Wow.
